Otherwise it generally becomes complete mud to the listener. Overtime this has happened more as function of loudness over clarity which tend to go hand in hand though you can’t have it super loud and super clear and all the frequencies of different instruments completely clashing. This is great, but the era of music we are in, everything is very focused a certain section of frequencies. Also, it’s like a 4 voice synth with sampling and arp options (on all voices I belive plus mseg options). ![]() So for those reasons, it’s just like use your own synths you’re familiar with. It can take an hour or so to get the real sound you want out of it unless you do a deep dive into the inner workings and then sometimes it’s quite buggy, doesn’t save or crashes Logic. You don’t really grasp the reliability of a soft synths u til you really strat pushing it to do things that, something as crazy as alchemy should handle. ![]() I’ve also heard people that have got deeply involved with it say that it’s finicky or crashes Logic, doesn’t save things right, one or all of those things. As others have mentioned, the lay out and overall intuitiveness of it is lacking or overwhelming for most. ![]()
